Antique Indigo Egasuri Cotton

A rare, collectable indigo 'egasuri' cotton from the early 20th century.

Kasuri is the Japanese term for ikat, and 'E' translates to picture or drawing. When these two words are combined, it is pronounced 'egasuri,' meaning kasuri-woven pictures.

This piece features small rabbit, cherry blossom, moon and snowflake motifs.
