Antique Indigo Katazome Cotton Piece
An antique indigo katazome cotton piece from the early 20th century, originally part of a futon cover. It features an intricate all-over shippō-tsunagi (linked seven treasures) pattern, formed by overlapping circular motifs with floral and geometric details。
Katazome is a traditional Japanese resist-dye technique using hand-cut stencils and rice paste. The cotton is light to medium weight with a lightly starched feel, and has been mended with an indigo kasuri cotton piece.
In good antique condition overall, with signs of age and a small hole.
