Vintage 'Shifu' Paper Yarn Obi

A vintage red and white check 'han-haba' narrow obi for women's casual kimono from the mid 20th century. The obi is woven with white and grey paper yarn as the weft and rayon as the warp. The paper is finely cut to about 10mm, folded into approximately 2mm, and wrapped with rayon threads.

This obi is in mint condition.
