Vintage Women's Silk Fukuro Obi Chrysanthemum Motif

A women’s silk fukuro obi in white, featuring a colourful chrysanthemum motif accented with gold threads.

This elegant piece makes a beautiful wall display or table runner. It is in good pre-loved condition with minimal signs of use and some minor thread pulls as shown in the last photo.

The fukuro obi has been the most common type of obi for formal and semi-formal occasions since the 1950s. It is a simplified version of the fully patterned maru obi, typically featuring designs on two-thirds of the front length, with a plain backing along its full length.
