Antique Indigo Green Hemp Fabric Sold By The Metre

An antique Japanese hemp fabric, preserved as an uncut roll and sold by the metre.

The fabric is naturally dyed green using indigo together with a yellow dye. It has an open weave and a coarse, textured feel. Subtle variations in the green colour and irregularities in the weave add character to the cloth.

Ideal for hanging and textile projects. It is in good condition for its age.
