Antique Indigo Kasuri Hemp Fragment

An antique indigo-dyed hemp fragment from the early 20th century, originally from a kimono and featuring a kasuri woven motif that appears to hagoita (decorative Japanese battledore paddles). The weave is coarse with the characteristic texture of hand-spun hemp, originally from a kimono. A beautiful study piece for collectors or as a unique material for small craft projects.
