Antique Indigo Katazome Cotton with Chrysanthemum and Kikko Motif
An antique indigo katazome cotton piece from the early 20th century, featuring chrysanthemum motifs framed within a kikkō (tortoiseshell) hexagonal pattern. The design is hand resist-dyed in indigo with Bengala red accents, originally part of a futon cover.
This textile is dyed on both sides. The exposed side shows gentle fading from use, while the reverse retains a darker indigo tone.
It is in good antique condition with a couple of holes.
