Vintage Women's Silk Shibori Haori
A women's silk shibori haori in yellow with maroon colour from the mid to late 20th century. This particular type of shibori tequnique is called 'Nui (stitch) shibori' and the name of pattern is 'Mokume shibori' which means wooden grain.
Haori is a traditional Japanese outerwear garment, similar to a jacket or cardigan, worn over a kimono. It features an open straight neck, providing a relaxed fit.
This is in good vintage condition, with the exception of some spots on the lining.
