Vintage Collectible Banana Fibre Bashofu Fragments Set
A set of 7 fragments of vintage collectible Bashōfu (banana fibre cloth) from Okinawa. Bashōfu is a one of traditional textiles of Okinawa, handwoven from the fibres of the banana plant. It has a long history and is known for its labour-intensive production process, requiring great skill, time, and care.
These pieces date from the early to mid-20th century and were originally part of a kimono. This is a one-off unique set, perfect for collectors or craft enthusiasts.

Measurements: the smallest piece (the striped one in the fifth photo) is approximately 15 cm wide × 7 cm long, and the largest is about 30 cm wide × 31 cm long (shown in the second photo).
