Vintage Cotton Furoshiki Made from Tairyō-bata Fishing Flag

An unusual vintage cotton furoshiki made from a section of a Tairyō-bata (大漁旗), a traditional Japanese celebratory fishing flag. Originally created to mark a bountiful catch, Tairyō-bata are known for their bold colours, large-scale motifs, and strong graphic presence. This piece has been repurposed from the original flag.

It is in good vintage condition, with gentle signs of age and a subtle stain.
