Vintage Four-Panel Indigo Egasuri Cotton Piece

A vintage four-panel indigo egasuri cotton piece from the mid-20th century, originally used as a futon cover. It features a bold, repeating square motif with strong graphic presence.

Kasuri is the Japanese term for ikat, a resist-dye technique where threads are dyed before weaving. “E” means picture or design, and together “egasuri” refers to pictorial kasuri patterns.

The cotton is medium weight with a soft handle, suitable for interior use, garments, or other sewing projects.

In good vintage condition overall, with minor age spots and some small holes along the selvedge.
