Vintage Indigo Cotton Furoshiki with Mend

A vintage indigo cotton furoshiki from the mid-20th century. This piece features various mends with tiny stitches. Furoshiki is a square cloth to wrap and carry belongings, so often developed wear in the centre.

The cotton is light to medium weight in lighter indigo tone with a soft handle, and the original owner's family crest and surname are dyed at corners. Despite the many repairs, there are still some small holes, a cut and stains, reflecting its long history of use.
