Vintage Indigo Cotton Zokin

A vintage indigo cotton zokin cleaning cloth made from layers of recycled cotton fabrics with sashiko hand stitching. Traditionally used as an everyday household cleaning cloth, zokin were often created from worn or leftover textiles, giving fabrics a final practical use in keeping with the Japanese spirit of mottainai.

It is reasonably thick and sturdy, and could also be used as a small pot mat. A lovely example of Japanese folk textile.
