Vintage Indigo Floral Kasuri Cotton Piece

A vintage kasuri cotton kimono fabric piece from an undone kimono, featuring a stylised floral pattern in indigo, red, white and grey. The kasuri weaving technique creates softly blurred outlines and subtle variations that are characteristic of traditional Japanese ikat textiles.

Light to medium weight with a soft handle, this cotton fabric drapes beautifully and is suitable for a wide range of sewing, quilting and textile projects. 

This fabric has been washed and is in good vintage condition. Indigo dye transfer may still occur, particularly during the first few washes or when exposed to moisture. Two lengths are available.
