Vintage Indigo Katazome Cotton Piece with Chrysanthemum

A vintage indigo katazome stencil dyed cotton piece from an old futon cover, featuring a bold chrysanthemum design. The indigo is exceptionally deep and dark, appearing almost black, which gives a strong contrast to the white resist-dyed design. The cotton has a crisp, firm handle as it is starched.

It is in good vintage condition.
