Vintage Natural-Dyed Brown & Indigo Futon Cover

A vintage Japanese three-panel cotton piece, originally used as a futon cover. The main fabric has a beautiful muted brown-grey tone from natural dyeing, contrasted with a section of indigo-dyed cotton.

Made from light to medium-weight cotton with a soft, well-used texture. The subtle variations in colour and hand-stitched construction give the piece plenty of character. It can be used for sewing and textile projects, or displayed as a wall hanging.

It shows signs of age and use, including some small holes, fading and areas of wear.
