Vintage Red Silk Nagoya Obi Material
A vintage women's silk obi fabric in vibrant red, with bold and elegant bellflower and lily motifs. Dating back to the early to mid-20th century, this fabric was originally made for a Nagoya obi and remains in its unused, unsewn state. The fabric features a traditional 'Ro' weave, a technique that involves twisting or braiding threads and skipping rows to create a distinctive striped effect with a semi-sheer appearance. Delicately woven with thinly cut silver coated paper threads, it offers a striking contrast against the red background.
It is in good condition for its age, with no major flaws.
