Vintage Silk Jacquard Kimono Fabric Water Swirl Motif

A bolt of plain silk jacquard kimono fabric for women's kimono from the late 20th century, featuring a running water with swirls motif. The jacquard weave has a rich, textured surface that gives an almost embossed effect. The running water motif has the meaning of "flowing water does not decay", symbolising the continuous passage of time and purity.
