Vintage Silk Shibori Kimono Fabric Bolt, Unfinished

A vintage Japanese silk shibori fabric in orange and deep green, almost black, preserved in its yunoshi-mae (before steam finishing) state.

The fabric has not undergone the traditional yunoshi steam finishing process, so the shibori remains tightly gathered, creating a highly textured, three-dimensional surface.

In its current gathered state, the bolt measures approximately 20cm wide and 7.3 metres long. If professionally steam-finished and stretched, it is estimated to measure approximately 36cm wide and 12 metres long. It is being sold in its present textured condition as a complete bolt.

It is in good vintage condition with no noticeable flaws.
