Vintage Wide Indigo Cotton Futon Cover

A vintage Japanese indigo cotton piece, originally used as a futon cover. At 85 cm wide, it is considerably wider than traditional narrow Japanese textiles.

The light to medium-weight cotton has softened through years of use, with beautiful variations in the indigo colour across the surface. It can be used for sewing, patchwork and other textile projects.

There are a number of holes, areas of wear and fading throughout, reflecting its age and previous use.
