Vintage Women's Tsumugi Silk Abstract Geometric Design Obi

A vintage women’s Fukuro obi made from tsumugi silk, featuring a bold abstract geometric design in rust red, olive green, mustard, pale blue, cream and dark navy.

The bold motifs and strong colour blocks give this obi a distinctive graphic quality. The slightly irregular texture of the tsumugi silk and the soft, blurred edges of the woven pattern add depth to the design, with a subtle natural sheen. Suitable for wearing as an obi as well as for interior decoration.

The patterned section covers approximately two-thirds of the front length, with a plain part towards one end, while the reverse is plain along the full length. It is in good vintage condition with minimal signs of use.
